Who We Are
Locationik ("we," "us," "the Platform") is an online platform operated from the Sultanate of Oman that connects customers looking to rent vehicles or related services with independent rental companies and service providers ("Vendors") operating in Oman.
Locationik is owned and operated under Commercial Registration No. 9208972, license No. L3479878, issued by the Sultanate of Oman Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.
By accessing or using the Locationik website, mobile app, or any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
How the Service Works
Locationik is a technology platform that facilitates the discovery and booking of vehicles and services. We do not own, operate, or maintain any vehicles. We are not a rental company, transportation provider, or service operator.
When you book through Locationik:
- •You enter into a direct agreement with the Vendor providing the vehicle or service.
- •Locationik facilitates the booking, payment collection, and communication between you and the Vendor.
- •The Vendor is solely responsible for the vehicle condition, service delivery, insurance, and all operational aspects of your rental or service.
- •We make reasonable efforts to verify Vendor credentials but cannot guarantee Vendor performance.
Account Registration
To use certain features of Locationik, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding contracts under Omani law.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Bookings and Payments
When you make a booking through Locationik, you authorize us to process payment on your behalf through our payment partner (Paymob) and forward the appropriate portion to the Vendor after deducting our platform fee.
Booking confirmation depends on Vendor acceptance and vehicle availability. We aim to confirm bookings promptly but cannot guarantee instant confirmation in all cases.
All prices are displayed in Omani Rials (OMR) and include any applicable VAT unless otherwise stated.
You are responsible for any additional charges imposed by the Vendor (late returns, fuel, damage, fines) as per the Vendor's own rental terms, which you accept at handover.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation policies are set by each Vendor and displayed on the vehicle or service listing before booking. By confirming a booking you accept the Vendor's cancellation terms.
Locationik facilitates refunds according to the Vendor's policy. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method and may take 5-10 business days to appear.
If the Vendor fails to deliver the booked vehicle or service (a "Vendor failure"), Locationik will refund all amounts paid, including our platform fee.
Disputes about whether a cancellation qualifies for refund will be reviewed in good faith by Locationik but final determination may require the Vendor's input.
Your Responsibilities as a Customer
When booking and using services through Locationik, you agree to:
- •Hold a valid driving license recognized in Oman for any vehicle rental.
- •Provide accurate identification and documents required by the Vendor at handover.
- •Use the vehicle or service lawfully and in accordance with the Vendor's terms.
- •Return the vehicle in the same condition as received, subject to reasonable wear.
- •Pay any fines, fees, or damages assessed by the Vendor or Omani authorities.
- •Communicate respectfully with Vendors and with our support team.
- •Not use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
Vendor Obligations (Not Ours)
Vendors on Locationik are independent businesses, not employees, agents, or representatives of Locationik. They are responsible for:
- •The roadworthiness, insurance, registration, and legal compliance of their vehicles.
- •Accurate listing information, pricing, and availability.
- •Vehicle handover, customer service during the rental period, and dispute handling.
- •Compliance with all applicable Omani laws and regulations governing their business.
Platform Fees and Commissions
Locationik charges a platform fee to cover the cost of running the service (technology, payment processing, customer support, marketing). This fee is included in the total price you see at booking — there are no hidden charges.
Vendors pay Locationik a commission on completed bookings. This commission is deducted from the Vendor's payout, not added to the customer's price.
Intellectual Property
The Locationik name, logo, website, mobile applications, and all associated content, software, and technology are the exclusive property of Locationik and are protected by Omani and international intellectual property law.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of the Platform.
Content posted by Vendors (logos, photos, descriptions) remains the property of the respective Vendor. By listing with us, Vendors grant Locationik a license to display their content on the Platform.
Limitation of Liability
Locationik provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no guarantees about continuous uptime, error-free operation, or the accuracy of all content.
To the maximum extent permitted by Omani law:
- •We are not liable for any injury, damage, loss, theft, or accident involving a rented vehicle. These are the responsibility of the Vendor and the customer.
- •We are not liable for a Vendor's failure to provide services, disputes between customers and Vendors, or third-party actions (insurance companies, authorities, payment processors).
- •Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of the Platform will not exceed the total amount you paid to Locationik in the 6 months preceding the claim.
- •We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages (lost profits, loss of enjoyment, reputational harm).
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises from your use of Locationik, we ask you to contact us first at support@locationik.com so we can try to resolve it informally. Most issues are resolvable this way.
If informal resolution fails, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in the Sultanate of Oman. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.
Nothing in these Terms waives any consumer rights you may have under Omani Consumer Protection Law (Royal Decree 66/2014) that cannot legally be waived.
Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:
- •You violate these Terms or any applicable law.
- •You engage in fraudulent activity, impersonation, or abuse of other users.
- •You repeatedly fail to pay Vendor charges, fines, or damages.
- •Continued use of the account poses security, legal, or operational risk to the Platform.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Any legal proceedings will take place in the competent Omani courts.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email or in-app notification and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with changes, you may stop using the Platform and request account deletion.
